Call him N Dot for short

N Dot is a talented artist who has been active in the Philadelphia local scene for a long time. He has worked as a poet, rapper, producer, recording engineer, DJ, and radio personality. N Dot has been teaching through various organizations, including Scribe and Geoclan. He is now teaching with Beyond the Bars and World Cafe Live. His goal has always been to bridge the communication gap between generations, and he is passionate about educating and helping others on their journey.

N Dot has a unique taste in music and loves to play obscure remixes and rare gems from some of the greatest artists in the world. He grew up in Philadelphia and Virginia's Seven Cities, which influenced his style characterized by punchy drums and catchy hooks. Legendary DJs such as Jazzy Jeff, DJ Doodles, Nex Millen, and Grand Wizard Rasheen inspired him, along with the opportunity to see them perform live. As a teenager, N Dot co-hosted and played records on WPEB 88.1 FM, and as an adult, he did the same with his Geoclan crew. He served as one of the house DJs for the Juice Jam Smorefest Funktoberfest and The EQ Sessions. N Dot is a member of the world-renowned record pool Digiwaxx, where they are known for breaking new artists and promoting community for DJs worldwide.

As a producer/rapper, N Dot has an excellent sense of finding pockets in music that make listeners want to rap along to his soulful beats. You can hear his unique style in his beat tapes They Counted Me Out, I Could've Been a Monster, and Once Upon a Time at 1212. N Dot has collaborated with various artists, including James Weldon, Arthur Thomas, Re-Mus, ChaZZ Love, Starkey, Carla Gamble, Evita Colon, and countless others. Additionally, he plays in the group Arthur Thomas and The Funkitorium, serving as their DJ and MC.
